Quick Overview

Meet our colourful group of safari animal friends - Ngiri the warthog, Twiga the giraffe and Tembo the elephant. They are handcrafted from flipflops found littered on beaches and in waterways of Kenya.

Each is unique so colours will vary.

Passionate about the ocean, its ecosystems and marine wildlife, the supplier of these beautiful, handcrafted safari animals uses flipflops that are found littered on beaches and in waterways of Kenya to create these quirky gifts.

Thousands of flipflops are washed up onto the East African coast, creating an environmental disaster and spoiling the natural beauty of its beaches and oceans. The rubber soles are swallowed by fish and other animals, who then suffocate on them, and they obstruct turtle hatchlings from reaching the sea. Over 100 people are employed at the supplier's workshops in Nairobi, in city slums and in remote coastal areas.

Ngiri the warthog stands 8cm tall; length: 12cm.

Twiga the giraffe stands 18cm tall; length: 8cm

Tembo the elephant stands 8cm tall; length: 16cm
