About the author: Siân Berry studied engineering at Oxford and most things in her home has been built or radically overhauled using her DIY skills. She is the author of 'Mend It!'and the popular'50 Ways' series. 'Junk for Joy!' is her latest book inspired by her long record as a green campaigner, writer and politician, working to reduce waste and save vital resources.
She was the Green Party’s candidate for London Mayor in 2008 and was a founder of the successful campaign group the Alliance Against Urban 4x4s. As a spokesperson for her campaigns, she has helped raise the practical needs of the environment further up the public agenda and Siân has received wide coverage in national and international newspapers as well as appearing on numerous TV and radio shows, from BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme to Richard and Judy.
