Who can resist this bright, fair trade seagull handmade in Zimbabwe by Raina Mazwiembiri and her adult daughters. The family travel the seven hours to the Bulawayo area to collect seed pods that have fallen from Ulumbu trees (Sterculia rogersii). They are then crafted into brightly decorated birds and animals, each with their unique markings and poses.
Material: Ulumbu tree seed pods with twisted wire feet. Hand-painted and decorated using recycled materials.
Made in Zimbabwe by Raina Mazwiembiri and her adult daughters for Tilnar Art.
Note: Each animal is unique so sizes may vary.
