New Overseas Traders

New Overseas Traders is the wholesale division of The India Shop, a family firm importing from India that has been trading for over twenty years. The India Shop is a member of BAFTS the British Association of Fair Trade Shops and is a recognized BAFTS supplier. Goods are handmade and they aim through fair trade to provide much needed employment particularly in rural areas and also to keep alive traditional craft skills. All workers involved in making and packing the products are treated with respect in reasonable working conditions and are paid fair wages. No child is exploited. Goods and production techniques are environmentally friendly, they reuse packaging and use green electricity.
