Spice Kitchen

A family-owned artisanal spice and tea company run by mother and son team. Sanjay and Shashi share a common goal: to honour their Indian heritage and make their ancestors proud.

They produce award winning spices, spice blends and gin botanicals with items for the keen home cook as well as gifts for loved ones.

As a family run business they are proud to support other families around the world. Which is why, in their words, they are currently supporting four charities:

"Animedh Charitable Trust (ACT) – a tailoring charity in India who are doing amazing work to empower less privileged women to transform their lives. They deliver projects to impart life skills, provide vocational training, and facilitate earning opportunities.

The Whitechapel Centre – a homeless and housing charity close to Spice Kitchen Headquarters in Liverpool that helps people who are sleeping rough, living in hostels or struggling to maintain their housing situation. By donating our spices to food parcels and sharing knowledge about how to make flavoursome food from simple ingredients we are hoping to help build skills and make a difference locally.

Curry for Change – a fundraising campaign that harnesses people’s love of curry to help change the lives of rural families in Asia and Africa who suffer from hunger. When someone hosts a Curry for Change fundraising dinner party, we donate some spices to get you started. These spices are used by home cooks to make curries and raise money to support families suffering from hunger in Africa and Asia.

The Akshaya Patra Foundation - to support children in India to receive nutritious mid-day meals."
